Dheeraj Sinha to take over as McCann CEO

Joined IPG as group CEO for FCB's brands.

Dheeraj Sinha, group CEO - India and South Asia, FCB, has been appointed as McCann India's CEO, following the Omnicom-IPG merger. Sinha started his career with McCann back in 1999, where he spent five years.

Prasoon Joshi, was the designated CEO of McCann in India. Joshi is also chairperson - APAC, McCann Worldgroup and CCO for the Indian operations. 

According to sources, Joshi will be taking on a larger role within the ecosystem in India and across Asia Pacific. 

Sinha joined IPG (FCB Group India) in 2023 from Publicis Groupe, where he was Leo's CEO and chairperson, BBH India. He joined the French holding company from WPP's Grey, where he was CSO, South and South East Asia. At FCB, he was group CEO.

After the Omnicom-IPG merger, FCB is now defunct along with DDB and MullenLowe. However, the Mudra and Lintas brands are expected to carry on in some form.

Sinha has also worked with Bates and Euro RSCG.
