Shortlists across Design, Digital Craft, Direct, Entertainment, Entertainment for Gaming, Entertainment for Music, Entertainment for Sport, Film Craft, Industry Craft, Media, PR and Social & Creator categories have been announced by the organisers of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on 15 June.
Design
India got a total of five shortlists in this category.
Famous Innovations got two for BMC's 'Seven Layers of Truth'.
Ogilvy too got two shortlists for Titan Eyewear's 'Eye Test Menu'.
Tgthr got a shortlist for Ultraviolette's 'UV Lync'.
Direct
India gained five shortlists in this category too. Two of these were for FCB India's 'Lucky Yatra' for the Indian Railways.
Grey's 'Devanagari Pin' for Axis Bank also earned a shortlist.
Havas Creative's 'Ink of Democracy' for The Times of India also made the cut, as did Leo's 'History in the Baking' for Oreo.
Entertainment Lions for Gaming
DDB Mudra got India's two shortlists in this category for Battlegrounds Mobile India's 'Great In-Game Wedding'.
Entertainment Lions for Music
VML India got two shortlists for 'The Girl Who Played The Tutari' for Coke Studio.
BBDO India's 'Oye Lucky' for WhatsApp also earned a shortlist.
Entertainment Lions for Sport
Talented's entry titled 'Avani's Gold' for Britannia Marie Gold earned two shortlists.
Leo got a shortlist for Oreo's 'History in the Baking'.
Film Craft
Lowe Lintas' 'Dirty Money' for Steadfast earned a shortlist.
Studio Eeksaurus got a shortlist for Centre For Pastrolism's 'Desi Oon Centre'.
TBWA\ India's work for Apple entered alongside TBWA\ Media Arts Lab LA has also earned a shortlist.
Industry Craft
Talented's 'Nature Shapes' for Britannia Industries got India's only shortlist in this category.
Media
Havas' 'Ink of Democracy' for The Times of India has three shortlists in this category.
Ogilvy and Talented have two each.
Ogilvy's shortlists come for Titan Eyewear's 'Eye Test Menu' and Vi's 'Guardian Beats', while Talented's are for 'Nature Shapes' for Britannia.
Dentsu Creative (DSP Mutual Funds - Garuda Rakshak) and Leo (Takeoff Takeover- Cathay) are also shortlisted.
PR
FCB India has four of the seven shortlists India received in this category - all for Indian Railways' 'Lucky Yatra'.
Ogilvy has two for Amazon's 'Box to Beds'.
Grey has won a shortlist for Volvo's 'Most Ignored Painting'.
Social and Creator
India has three shortlists - one each for BBH (Garnier - Bassi vs Men's Facewash), Ogilvy (Mondelez - Erase Valentine's Day) and Wondrlab (Josh - The Right Signs).
