Accenture's Baiju Shah moves to WPP

Was global chief strategy officer at Accenture Song.

WPP has announced the appointment of Baiju Shah as global CEO of AKQA, WPP's design and innovation company. 

Baiju joins from Accenture Song, where he was global chief strategy officer. 

His appointment reflects WPP's mission to deliver outstanding creativity coupled with expertise in AI,  data, and technology. 

His appointment reinforces AKQA’s continued commitment to creative innovation on a global scale, with a focus on building products,  services and experiences that inspire, drive growth and deliver lasting impact for people, brands and society. 

The news announcement comes at a time when media reports are emerging of Accenture and WPP holding talks about a potential merger.

In a career spanning over 25 years, he has also worked with Fjord and Accenture Technology Labs, among others.
