India has bagged a total of nine Lions, reaching half of its tally from last year on day one of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
FCB India and Havas won a Gold each, while there were also four Silver and three Bronze for the country.

FCB India won a Gold and Bronze for Indian Railways' 'Lucky Yatra'.
FCB Kinnect won a Silver for Too Yumm's 'Too Yumm to Cheer' as did Talented for Britannia's 'Nature Shapes'.
Ogilvy was also among the winners with two Bronze, one each for Vi's 'Holy Beads' and Brooke Bond Taj Mahal Tea's 'Chai Bansuri'.

Godrej Creative Lab won Silver for Eyebetes Foundation's 'Naga Saint Eye Test'.
Pharma
Lowe Lintas won Silver for Alkem Laboratories' 'Dawai Reader' in this category.
Print and Publishing
Havas Creative's 'The Ink of Democracy' for The Times of India won Gold in this category.
Winners of the 'Audio and Radio' category was also announced, in which India had no win.
