India's adman Piyush Pandey is no more

The advertising legend bestowed with several honours passed away on 24 October.

Piyush Pandey, former global chief creative officer, Ogilvy, has passed away.

Pandey, who turned 70 in April this year, has been honoured with several global accolades including the Padma Shree, Lion of St. Mark, LIA Legend Award, Lotus Legend, and Clio Lifetime Achievement Award, among others.

He joined the advertising industry in 1982 after having played Ranji Trophy cricket for Rajasthan.

Pandey announced his decision to step down as global CCO in 2023, and was succeeded by Devika Bulchandani. He subsequently served as an advisor to the agency.
