Motorola India has announced the appointment of Ipshita Chowdhury as marketing head, India.
She moves from Valvoline Cummins, where she was vice president - marketing.
Chowdhury will lead the brand’s marketing strategy and integrated initiatives across the country, with a focus on strengthening brand salience and accelerating growth. She succeeds Gagandeep Bedi, who has been elevated as Asia Pacific marketing strategy and operations lead.
Prior to these developments, Bedi was head - marketing, Motorola.
Both Chowdhury and Bedi will be reporting to Shivam Ranjan, head - marketing, Motorola Asia Pacific.
This leadership transition marks an important step in strengthening Motorola India’s growth trajectory while sharpening strategic collaboration across Asia Pacific markets.
Ranjan said, “India remains a critical growth market for us. Gagandeep has played a significant role in strengthening our brand foundation and driving consistent momentum. His expanded regional mandate will help us build stronger strategic cohesion across Asia Pacific markets. Ipshita brings a sharp consumer understanding and deep cross-category experience, which will be valuable as we continue to scale our brand and deepen engagement in India.”
Chowdhury added, “Motorola is an iconic brand that stands for purposeful innovation and strong technology and design leadership. I am excited to join the team at a time when the brand is witnessing strong growth and momentum in India. I look forward to building meaningful consumer connections and further strengthening Motorola’s growth journey in the ever-evolving market.”
In a career spanning over two decades, she has also worked with Microsoft and Philips Lighting, among others.
