Britannia has announced the appointment of Rakshit Hargave as executive director and CEO. Hargave has been given the mandate for a term of five years, and joins the company from Birla Opus, the paints division of Grasim Industries.

Hargave will be joining Britannia on 15 December and replaces Rajneet Singh Kohli, who moved on from the company earlier this year.

The move is subject to the approval of members of the company. 

Prior to joining Birla Opus, Hargave was with Nivea. He has also worked with Lakme, Hindustan Unilever, Domino's, ABN Amro, and Tata Motors.
