Marriott Bonvoy, the travel program of Marriott International, has partnered with Swiggy to bring travel loyalty rewards into everyday consumer transactions.
The strategic partnership enables members from both platforms to earn Marriott Bonvoy points across Swiggy’s offerings, including food delivery, quick commerce and dining reservations, extending the program’s benefits beyond travel into daily life.
Through the collaboration, members who link their accounts can earn five Marriott Bonvoy points for every INR 500 spent on Swiggy services such as Food Delivery, Instamart and Dineout.
The initiative allows users to accumulate points while ordering meals, making restaurant reservations, hosting friends at home or purchasing groceries and everyday essentials.
The partnership aims to bridge everyday consumption with travel-related rewards, allowing members to redeem accumulated points across Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of hotels and curated experiences.
As part of the collaboration, Marriott Bonvoy Elite members across tiers, including silver, gold, platinum, titanium and ambassador, will receive a complimentary subscription to Swiggy One.
The membership offers benefits such as free deliveries and exclusive discounts across food delivery, quick commerce and dining-out services.
Hospitality-led loyalty programmes have traditionally focused on travel moments, with engagement typically peaking around stays and journeys.
Marriott Bonvoy is now expanding that model in India by integrating loyalty benefits into everyday consumer touchpoints.
In recent years, the programme has broadened its partnerships across sectors, including financial services through the Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card, e-commerce through Flipkart, and sports through the International Cricket Council.
The Swiggy collaboration adds everyday convenience to that ecosystem.
Swiggy, meanwhile, has been expanding the scope of its own rewards ecosystem through travel partnerships, such as with IndiGo and now hospitality through Marriott Bonvoy.
Together, the initiatives reflect a broader shift in loyalty strategy from occasional, travel-driven engagement to more frequent, always-on interactions in a mobile-first market, with India playing a key role in the evolution of Marriott Bonvoy’s loyalty model across the Asia Pacific excluding China region.
John Toomey, chief commercial officer, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, said, “Marriott Bonvoy has always been about creating meaningful connections with our members. With Swiggy, we are bringing loyalty into everyday life, turning daily spend into future travel. This strategic partnership allows us to meet members where they are, making Marriott Bonvoy more immediate, relevant and just a tap away. It is an important milestone reflecting our growth in India and a clear step toward the future of loyalty, beyond the stay."
Phani Kishan Addepalli, chief growth officer and co-Founder, Swiggy, said, “Everyday convenience is where Swiggy shows up for consumers, whether it’s through food, quick commerce, or unique experiences. With Marriott Bonvoy, we’re turning these everyday moments into something more rewarding by letting users earn global travel benefits and stay with Marriott.”
