DP World has appointed cricketer Abhishek Sharma as its brand ambassador.

Under this long-term partnership, he’ll front brand and stakeholder initiatives, spanning media appearances and digital storytelling built around shared values of performance and innovation.

Sharma joins cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and global golf star Tommy Fleetwood as the third ambassador in DP World’s evolving sports portfolio. 

The announcement caps a standout year for Sharma. At the 2025 DP World Asia Cup, he set a new record for the most runs in a single T20I edition with 314 in seven innings and was named Player of the Tournament. His form across formats has taken him to No.1 in the ICC Men’s T20I Batter Rankings with the highest rating ever recorded.

His first DP World appearance came at the Diwali with the Stars event during the inaugural DP World India Championship, supported by a video of him receiving a personalised shirt with Tendulkar and Fleetwood.

Sharma’s signing strengthens DP World’s cricket footprint, which already includes the ICC, DP World Asia Cup, Delhi Capitals’ men’s and women’s teams, ILT20 and SA20. Since October 2023, the company has pushed to make cricket more accessible through its Beyond Boundaries initiative and a kits-for-runs scheme that donates ten kits for every 100 runs scored at ICC events. So far, it has delivered twelve repurposed shipping containers and 3,000 kits to grassroots clubs worldwide, with more on the way.
