Conran Design Mumbai, Havas’ global brand and design consultancy, has appointed Tazeen Shaikh as associate creative director and Jervin D'Souza as client partner.
Shaikh joins from Landor, where she was design director, while D'Souza moves from the agency, where he was client director. At Conran Design Mumbai, the two will work alongside Almas Ahmed, senior director, brand strategy, Conran Design Mumbai, across brand strategy, creative and client leadership.
The appointments come as Conran Design Mumbai looks to expand its brand strategy and design offering while deepening client relationships and pursuing new business opportunities.
Thom Newton, global CEO, Conran Design Group, said, “We are excited to welcome both Jervin and Tazeen to Conran Design Group and believe they represent exactly the kind of entrepreneurial energy that will help us deliver progressive brand solutions for our clients and challenge the conventional approaches of other players in the region. Our philosophy has always been to integrate talent across our 6 regional hubs and marry deep local understanding and affinity with world-class brand capability.”
Shaikh added, "Conran Design has a rich 70-year history of creating transformative brand experiences, and I'm excited to be part of a team that believes in the power of design to shape culture, behaviour and perception. The opportunity to collaborate with talented teams and ambitious clients to create integrated brand experiences that resonate is what drew me here. What makes this opportunity even more exciting is Havas' village model, which brings together diverse expertise under one ecosystem. The ability to work closely with specialists across creative, media, health, PR and other disciplines opens up new possibilities for building truly connected brand experiences. I look forward to contributing to the agency's continued growth and creative evolution."
D'Souza said, "Brands today have the opportunity to be more responsive and relevant in a way that makes them human, more than ever before. What excites me about Conran Design is its ability to bring together strategy, creativity and business thinking to solve complex challenges. Equally compelling is the opportunity to be part of the wider Havas ecosystem to collaborate across agencies and capabilities and enable more holistic solutions for clients. This integration of narrative and storytelling is increasingly important for brands who are looking to show up authentically in a rapidly evolving landscape. Alongside Tazeen and the broader team, I look forward to building strong client partnerships, creating impactful work and helping drive the next chapter of growth for the agency."
In a career spanning over 11 years, D'Souza has also worked with Tilt and Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), among others. As for Shaikh, she has also worked with EuMo and Fitch, among others, in her 17-year-long career.
