Former advertising veteran Jishnu Sen passed away on 5 July.

His cousin and fellow adlander, Shubho Sengupta, shared the news.

Sen started his career in advertising at JWT. He also worked with Y&R across offices in APAC. He had a seven-year stint with Grey Group, where he was president and CEO when he left in August 2014.

He had full-time brand roles with Big Bazaar and Essar before taking on advisory roles in 2021 with the likes of Porter, Bergner and Dealshare.

Sengupta shared, "Deeply saddened to share my cousin Jishnu Sen passed away this morning. He had a long and distinguished career in marketing, and had settled in Bangalore. He had a tremendous life force and in spite of his ailment over the last few years, lived life to the fullest."
