Shashi Sinha, CEO, IPG Mediabrands India, has been appointed as executive chairperson of the group.

Replacing him as CEO is Amardeep Singh, who is currently CEO, Interactive Avenues. 

Sinha will work alongside Singh for the next two to three years as the group wants to ensure stability. 

Singh had founded Interactive Avenues in 2006. Seven years later, IPG acquired the digital agency. 

IPG has been in the news as it's soon-to-be merged with Omnicom. However Singh stated that the change has nothing to do with this, as this move was in the works prior to the merger announcement. 

Further, Shantanu Sirohi, COO and co-founder, Interactive Avenues, will step into the CEO post at the agency.
