WPP has announced the elevation of Adam Gerhart as global chief client officer.
Gerhart recently served as global chief client officer for WPP Media.
In his new position, Gerhart will be responsible for leading WPP’s key global client relationships and overseeing the company’s network of global client leaders.
Gerhart will also expand and deepen client partnerships across WPP’s integrated offerings, driving seamless cross-agency collaboration and harnessing the power of data, AI and creativity to solve clients' most complex growth challenges. Known for a relentless focus on client success and a proven ability to execute at scale globally, Gerhart ensures WPP continuously anticipates and responds to the rapidly evolving needs of modern marketers.
Based in New York, he joins WPP’s executive committee and reports to WPP’s chief operating officer, Devika Bulchandani.
Gerhart started at WPP media agency Mindshare in 2003, and stayed there for more than 20 years, minus a brief stint at Publicis in 2004.
Bulchandani said, "Adam has it all. He is a world-renowned agency executive and a fiercely dedicated client leader who is as brilliant in strategy conversations in New York as he is comfortable executing on the ground in China. There is simply no one better than Adam to represent the best of WPP to our clients.”
Gerhart added, “WPP's greatest strength is the breadth of resources at our disposal - from world-class talent, to cutting-edge AI and technology, to media transformation expertise. I look forward to bringing all of it to bear for our clients, to tackle their biggest opportunities.”
