Abhishek Karnani, president, Free Press Journal, has been unanimously re-elected as president of the India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) at the organisation’s 35th annual general meeting held on 25 September 2025.

Joining him in the leadership team are Jaideep Gandhi, founde, Another Idea, as vice president; Nandini Dias, independent advisor, as honorary secretary; and Janak Sarda, director, BFF Foods India, as honorary treasurer.

The AGM also saw the election of five voting members: Srinivasan K Swamy, executive group chairman, R K Swamy Hansa; Prasanth Kumar, CEO – South Asia, WPP Media; M. V. Shreyams Kumar, managing director, Mathrubhumi; Babita Barua, CEO, VML India; and Rana Barua, group CEO – Havas India, South East Asia and North Asia.

Avinash Pandey will continue to support the team in his role as immediate past president.

In addition, five more members are expected to be co-opted during the upcoming management committee meeting, alongside other specially invited members.
