WPP Media has announced the elevation of Shekhar Banerjee as president, client solutions, South Asia. Banerjee replaces Ajay Gupte, who has stepped down from this position.
Banerjee joined WPP Media in 2018 as managing partner - West, Wavemaker India. In 2023, he was elevated to the role of chief client officer – West, North and East at Wavemaker India.
Gupte joined WPP in 2011 and has had stints across South East Asia and India.
