Cindy Rose, WPP's incoming CEO, has shared a message with employees ahead of her taking over the role on 1 September.

After stating how she has been a mega-fan of the network, as she has worked with the likes of Grey, VML, and Wunderman Thompson during her time at Vodafone, Virgin, and Microsoft, respectively, Rose said, "I'm proud and honoured to be joining WPP. I was also a strategy technology partner for WPP during my time at Microsoft. For the past six years, I have been a member of the board of directors. I have been a mega fan of WPP for more than 15 years (combining her partnership with the respective agencies), which is why I feel privileged and inspired to write WPP's next chapter with the entire team."

While predicting that WPP's next chapter will be fantastic, she went on to add that there's also a lot of work to be done.

"I won't sugarcoat this. We have a lot of work ahead, and it won't be easy. But when I think about the assets we have - the brilliant people, multi-award winning creative work, our beloved agency brands, amazing clients, global reach, and world-leading technology capabilities, I cannot help but feel excited about our future," she said.

Rose also announced that she will be hosting a WPP town hall on 4 September in New York, which will be streamed across WPP campuses. Rose will be indicating the direction of travel for the network during this session.
