Janak Sarda takes over as president of IAA's India chapter

Nandini Dias elected as vice president.

Janak Sarda, director, Bastiram Narayandas Sarda - BFF Foods India, has been elected as president of the India chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA).

Sarda replaces Abhishek Karnani, president, Free Press Journal, as president.

Nandini Dias, independent advisor, has been elected as vice president.

Sarda has been on the managing committee of the India chapter of the IAA for 10 years and has held the position of honorary treasurer for two years. He has also been chairperson of the Olive Crown Awards for four years.

He is the area director for the APAC region for the IAA global. 

Sarda sai, “It is an honour to lead the India chapter, more so in the run-up to the globally acclaimed AdAsia. We remain committed to continuing with the Marquee events and meaningful initiatives that our Past Presidents have established over the years. We will also we steadfast in our ethos that what’s good is good for business.”

The newly formed leadership team includes:
Honorary secretary: L V Navaneeth, CEO, THG Publishing
Honorary treasurer: Pradeep Dwivedi, group CEO, Eros Media World 

The elected managing committee members are:

  • Jaideep Gandhi, founder, Another Idea
  • MV Shreyams Kumar, managing director, Mathrubhumi    
  • Neena Dasgupta, CEO and founder, The Salt Inc Consulting
  • Nina E Jaipuria, business and media professional
  • Alok Jalan, managing director, Laqshya Media Group

The co-opted members are: Raj Kamble, Sam Balsara, Babita Baruah, Rani Reddy and Anant Goenka.
