With the Omnicom-Interpublic Group merger nearing completion, reports have emerged about how the creative agencies within the network will operate.

According to a news report in Australia, Omnicom's creative agency DDB will cease to exist. For now, other Omnicom agencies BBDO and TBWA\ are set to continue its operations globally.

In 2023, Omnicom Advertising Group was created, which is being led by Aditya Kanthy as CEO in India.

On the IPG side, there are speculations around the brands FCB and MullenLowe following DDB's fate, with the agency brands most likely to be taken down.

John Wren, CEO, Omnicom, had earlier stated that the group will make 'appropriate decisions helping the growth of the networks and creating greater career opportunities for its best and talented staff'.

DDB was founded by James Edwin Doyle, Maxwell Dane and Bill Bernbach in New York in 1949.
