Marico board approves re-appointment of Saugata Gupta as MD and CEO

Gupta joined Marico in 2004 as marketing head, became CEO of India Business in 2007, and has served as MD and CEO since 2014.

Marico has announced that its board of directors, at a meeting held on 2 May 2025, approved the reappointment of Saugata Gupta as managing director and chief executive officer for a further period of two years, from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2028.

Gupta joined Marico in 2004 as the head of marketing and was elevated to CEO of India Business in 2007. Since 2014, Saugata has been the managing director and chief executive officer of the company.  

The FMCG company reported a 20% YoY increase in consolidated revenue, reaching INR 2,730 crore, alongside significant growth in India and international markets. 

Marico also posted a 14-quarter high in India volume and revenue growth, while its consolidated revenues for FY25 crossed the INR 10,000 crore mark for the first time.

The company’s Foods and Premium Personal Care portfolios achieved a combined annual recurring revenue (ARR) of INR 2,000 crore. Its international business sustained a strong double-digit growth trajectory, contributing to the overall performance.

For Q4FY25, Marico reported revenue from operations at INR 2,730 crore, a 20% year-on-year increase. This was driven by 7% underlying volume growth in the Indian business and 16% constant currency growth in the international markets.

For the full fiscal year FY25, revenue from operations stood at INR 10,831 crore, up 12% YoY. India's business recorded a 5% volume growth, while international operations grew 14% in terms of constant currency. Reported net profit for FY25 was up 10% over the previous year.
