Vadilal Industries has appointed Himanshu Kanwar as CEO for a period of five years, with effect from 29 September 2025, according to a company filing. He is the ice cream maker’s first non-promoter CEO in over a century.

Kanwar is currently working as general manager, growth and marketing practice with XTO10X, mentoring startup consumer businesses across beauty, food, fintech, and OTT.

In a career spanning over two decades Kanwar served a stint of over 15 years at Unilever where he held multiple senior leadership roles across foods, beverages, personal care, and ice creams. 

His most recent role at HUL was as global brand director for its South Asia haircare portfolio.

Prior to that, he managed P&L for Unilever's Ice Creams business in India as general manager - ice creams.
