Rajat Sharma, chairperson and editor-in-chief, India TV, has been re-elected as president, News Broadcasters and Digital Association (NBDA) for the year 2026-27. 

The decision was revealed after the board of directors meeting on 22 September. 

NBDA is the association which presently has 29 news and current affairs broadcasters (comprising 130 news channels and digital platforms) as its members.

Earlier, at the AGM, NBDA also appointed Jayant Mammen Mathew, representing MM TV, to the board.

Rachna Burman, director - public policy and content assurance, The Times Group and Kshipra Jatana, group ceneral counsel - Network18 Media & Investments  were made permanent directors of NBDA.
