Nirmal Suchanti, founder, Concept Group and a pioneering figure in financial communications, passed away on 26 May 2025, at the age of 81.

Announcing his father’s passing on social media, Suchanti's son paid tribute to him through a LinkedIn post.

Suchanti began his professional life in the early 1970s, armed with a deep understanding of finance and an innate belief that communication could be a force for inclusion and empowerment.

In 1984, he founded Concept Communications, and for many years, it was the only specialist agency focused on financial communications and investor relations.

At a time when advertising was dominated by lifestyle and FMCG narratives, Suchanti dared to bring storytelling into the world of IPOs, mutual funds, corporate disclosures, and public issues.

Under his leadership, Concept grew to encompass multiple verticals, including advertising, public relations, digital strategy, brand consultancy, and investor relations.

Suchanti's understanding of SEBI guidelines and market behaviour helped the agency maintain credibility in a space often viewed with caution.
