Dream11 has officially discontinued its 'cash games and contests' on the app. 

Users could participate in a cash game for the South Africa versus Australia ODI that started at 10 am IST on 22 August. After that, the app stated that cash games and contests are being discontinued, stating the 'Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025'.

Dream11 is the lead sponsor of the Indian cricket team. While the app remains functional, over 90% of Dream Sports' revenues have come from real-money contests. During the financial year 2024, more than INR 9,600 crore worth of revenue came from the real money contests on the app. 

With the real-money games being discontinued, Dream11's sponsorship contract, which comes to an end in March 2026, could be coming to a premature end. 

Dream11 has also assured its users that winnings and deposits are 'completely safe' and can be 'withdrawn any time'.
