Peter England's 'The Bollywood Wedding' campaign

Peter England has rolled out a campaign, ‘The Bollywood Wedding’, featuring actor Rohit Saraf and filmmaker and producer Karan Johar.

Conceptualised by Ogilvy, the campaign consists of an ad film. A tongue-in-cheek ode to Indian wedding guest lists, the campaign captures the Bollywood spirit through Johar and Saraf. The film opens with Johar, a stylist, browsing through a rack of clothes meant for the groom. As he curates outfits, he ends up styling everyone - from the best man to the bride’s ex - except the groom himself. Just as he’s still searching for the groom, Saraf walks in. Johar finally styles him, completing the look. The film centres around the idea that there is something for everyone at Peter England.

What we think about it: The narrative flows smoothly, and the tone remains light throughout. However, the film doesn’t quite stand out and the brand presence isn’t strong enough to linger once the film ends.

Tithi Ghosh, president and head of office, Ogilvy India (South), added, “This wedding season, we set out to once again celebrate India’s vibrant, emotional, festival-like wedding spirit through The Bollywood Wedding platform. To bring a fresh yet familiar energy, Rohit Saraf felt like the perfect choice — his charm and relatability capture the essence of modern love and celebration. As the brand evolves to connect more deeply with younger audiences, this season marks a deliberate shift in tone and storytelling. The Karan–Rohit pairing is timely, culturally resonant, and designed to spark conversations and moments today’s young wedding-goers can see themselves in.”

Anil S Kumar, chief business officer, Peter England, said, “Weddings in India have always been cinematic — full of colour, energy and emotion. With The Peter England Bollywood Wedding Collection, we wanted to capture that spirit in a campaign that feels fresh, contemporary, and entertaining. This is not just about wedding fashion, it’s about how the modern Indian man experiences style — with confidence, celebration, and a touch of drama. Who better than Karan Johar & Rohit Saraf to bring that alive!”
