Sony Sports Network has rolled out a promo for the upcoming India tour of New Zealand, which kicks off on 22 October and consists of five T20 Internationals, five ODIs and two Test matches.

The film shows Mitchell Santner on a video call with his teammates as they plot to stop Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli, with Daryl Mitchell saying they will make Diwali memorable for the visiting team. They soon notice that their meeting is being recorded, with clips being played on Indian news media, as well as going viral across social media. The media questions their 'good boys' image in conversation with Sunil Gavaskar, who reminds viewers how New Zealand whitewashed India in the last Test series between the two teams.

What we think about it: The New Zealand cricket team has been quite likeable over the years - which means while the cricket between the two teams has been great, the 'rivalry' has been underplayed. The broadcaster is looking to change that with this film and get fans fired up before the bilateral series.

The film was released on 6 October.
