Coca-Cola's 'Uncanned Emotions' campaign

Coca-Cola has rolled out a campaign, 'Uncanned Emotions', ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Narrated by football commentator Peter Drury, the campaign adopts the style of a live match broadcast, featuring commentary that mirrors the cadence and drama of real-time gameplay. Framed around the idea that the tournament is a shared rollercoaster of feelings, the film spotlights the raw, unfiltered reactions of fans as they experience moments of anticipation, tension, elation and heartbreak. The film immerses viewers in the raw, high-stakes emotional journey of football fans, highlighting the dramatic highs and lows that unfold during key match moments. The ad celebrates the genuine, shared experiences that unite football fans across the globe.

What we think about it: From nail-biting tension and anxiety and anticipation, to sudden joy and celebration, and heartbreak and frustration, the film captures real matchday emotions and portrays football as a shared emotional experience. The play-by-play narration over fan reactions makes viewers feel like they’re living the moment, rather than just watching an ad commercial. Well executed ad that aligns the brand with moments of connection rather than interrupting them. The brand is positioned not just as a drink but as a silent witness to every goal or a missed chance.

The film released on 8 April.
