Singer Ed Sheeran’s latest single, Sapphire, is dominating social media platforms and streaming charts worldwide.

Released on 5 June, the song features Indian playback singer, Arijit Singh and a blink and you miss it cameo by actor Shah Rukh Khan.

The track is released in collaboration between Atlantic Records UK, Grumpy Old Management, producer Dan Curwin, Mouthpiece, and India's Kulfi Collective.

Recorded in India, the music video showcases Sheeran engaging with local culture - riding auto-rickshaws, playing football with children, and exploring bustling markets in cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Kolkata. The song also includes a verse in Punjabi - a nod to the country’s linguistic and musical diversity.

The video also makes room for cricket with Sheeran donning a Rajasthan Royals jersey in a heartfelt nod to the IPL team and the late cricketer Shane Warne.

The music video for Sapphire and its accompanying looper films were produced by Kulfi Collective. The agency helped create a visual journey that matched the song’s global appeal and deep emotional resonance.

Sapphire is the third single from Sheeran's upcoming album Play.
