Carlsberg, a long-term sponsor of Liverpool Football Club, has released a limited-edition can to mark 20 years of Liverpool FC winning the UEFA Champions League.

In 2005, Carlsberg was the jersey sponsor of Liverpool FC. The club won the final of the tournament after trailing by three goals at half time, in a match referred to as the 'miracle of Istanbul'.

The limited-edition can is called the 'Miracle Can'. The film for the can features three of the players from the team - Jerzy Dudek, Vladimír Šmicer and Sami Hyypiä. The can is designed with time stamps linking back to notable moments during the match so drinkers can relive the emotion.

The can was first made available in the UK on 8 May and will soon be available in India.

What we think about it: After rolling out the champions can in 2020 and another special edition soon after, this adds to how Carlsberg is innovatively leveraging its partnership with Liverpool FC. It does capture the attention of the fan who is supporting the club.

Louise Bach, global sponsorship director, Carlsberg, said, "At Carlsberg, we're beyond proud of our 30+ year partnership with Liverpool FC. It's been an incredible journey, and we're always looking for ways to bring more people closer to the magic of the beautiful game.  The Miracle of 2005 was a moment that will remain forever engrained in our memories, which is why we wanted to celebrate this anniversary with the limited-edition Miracle Can, co-created with love for passionate supporters. Here's to hoping it brings some good luck and great results for the future seasons. Can miracles strike again? Probably."
