Havells India has rolled out a campaign, 'Bano Achhe Fan', featuring filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, actor Varun Dhawan and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal.
Conceptualised by TBWA Lintas, the campaign comprises a series of films. Each film follows a different star as they come face-to-face with a troll who has posted mean comments about them online. When confronted, instead of taking responsibility, the troll resorts to the classic pivot, downplaying their behaviour and claiming, 'fan hu.' At that moment, the star looks up at an actual fan and turns back to the troll, asking if they’d rather be a real fan - one that truly supports, like a Havells fan.
What we think about it: A smart piece of storytelling that strikes a perfect balance between humour, insight, and brand relevance. The film is crisp, culturally tuned-in, and leaves the audience with a memorable thought, making it both impactful and shareable. Each celebrity brings their own distinct personality to the moment, adding a unique flavour to the interaction and ensuring that every version feels fresh and entertaining. The performances feel natural rather than scripted, making the punchlines hit harder and the situations feel authentic. Most importantly, the ad ties everything back to the product with precision.
