Spotify has rolled out a campaign to highlight its new features for its premium users. 

The campaign comprises two ad films: AI DJ and Lossless Audio, both aimed to bring listeners closer to the music they love.

In the first film, a man confined to bed with multiple casts is visited by friends on their way to a party he can’t attend. As they leave, they jokingly play Allah Ke Bande, letting the melancholic lyrics ring out by his bedside. Left alone, he turns to Spotify, lands on the AI DJ feature, and asks for something that matches his mood. What follows is a shift, his room fills with energy as the music lifts him into a party-like vibe.

The second film follows a man cooking while referencing a Spanish recipe. As he plays a track from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, he gets completely absorbed in the music, moving to its rhythm as he tosses ingredients into the pan, only to realise the stove isn’t even on. Unfazed, he resets and starts again, still in sync with the music. The film closes by spotlighting Spotify Premium’s Lossless Audio, emphasising a richer, more immersive listening experience.

What we think about it: The films smartly anchor the premium features in familiar, everyday situations, making the offerings feel intuitive and emotionally relevant. It’s a simple, insight-led approach that shows how Spotify doesn’t just play music, it subtly shapes the mood of every moment. That said, while the storytelling is engaging and comedic, the feature integration is a bit subtle, leaving the product benefits to land more softly than they could.

This five-week multimedia campaign spans digital video, CTV, audio, OOH, social, and on-platform integrations across India. With Tamil and Telugu music at its core, it reflects diverse listening habits while positioning Spotify Premium as a seamless, engaging way to enjoy music anywhere.
