The revamped Skoda Slavia

Škoda India has rolled out a revamped version of its Slavia along with a 'Says It All' campaign to communicate the launch.

The film for it shows a lady enter an empty Škoda showroom. She walks around and slyly gets into the Slavia before taking it out for a drive. While the lay enjoys the drive, shots of the car are shown along with a reveal of the features.

What we think about it: Love how the protagonist in the film is a female and that's seamlessly embedded into the storyline. The film itself is a tag long, however, the soundtrack does keep the viewer tuned in.

At the launch event during which the announcement of a diesel variant of the Superb, and the Octavia RS, was also revealed, Ashish Gupta, brand director, Škoda Auto India, stated how the company is focusing on the sedan category.

"The sedan delivers excellence and driving pleasure with everyday practicality. The Slavia has a segment share of 30% and are the torchbearer of the category. We want to strengthen our relevance in a rapidly evolving market and want to continue earning trust too. We have hit milestones - our network covers 85% of the addressable market with 60% coming from newer markets (sales in tier 2 and 3 markets)."

The film released on 18 August to coincide with the launch.
