Star Sports has rolled out the promo for its upcoming Tata WPL, featuring Indian women cricketers including Jemimah Rodrigues, Amanjot Kaur, Renuka Singh, and Deepti Sharma among others.

The film opens with powerful snippets from matches, as cricketers’ voices play in the background, talking about how the game makes them laugh and cry. They go on to reflect on how cricket gives them everything -  moments of joy and heartbreak, daring choices, deep passion, and unwavering courage. The film culminates with a powerful message that cricket is more than just a game; it is a game of emotions.

What we think about it: By opening with authentic footage from real matches, the film immediately grounds itself in reality, lending credibility and rawness to its narrative. The pacing is tight, and the visuals complement the narration without overpowering it, allowing emotions to take centre stage.
