The August issue of Manifest.

The August issue of Manifest is now available to purchase.

The lead story of the issue features the results of an exclusive research conducted by Manifest. The research follows the controversy around doctored results at the 2025 edition of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. We wanted to understand from marketers whether awards matter and do they look for highly-awarded agencies when they are looking for partners?

We also have a feature around how brands are trading distinction for design conformity. Shruti Subramaniam (BBDO), Litna Das (Lowe Lintas), Mriga Kothare (Landor India), Soumita Das (ADK Global), Siddharth Khandelwal (Pollinate Labs), and Vinay Kanchan (author, brand storyteller and creative thinking trainer), share their thoughts on the topic.

In the creative segment, we chat with VML's Mukund Olety before he moves to Spain to take on a global role with the parent company.

The host of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Matthew Marsh, chats with us about how his love for F1 took him to the Lumiere and Debussy, as well as why it's his favourite week of the year.

TCS' global CMO, Abhinav Kumar, features in the 'marketer' segment, as we caught up with him during his recent visit to India.

There's also a chat with the band W.i.S.H, on how they are finding their voice, performing for the algorithm, and why authenticity remains their loudest statement.

In the perspectives segment, Abhinay Bhasin (Dentsu) and Samir Asher (Tonic), debate about how AI has impacted SEO. They answer the question: Is SEO dead or does it need a new playbook?

In the healthcare and pharma section, Aditi Roy, assistant head – external management, Novartis in India, and Nupur Gurbaxani, director, brand and innovation, Sanofi Consumer Healthcare, chatted with Praful Akali, founder and managing director, Medulla Communications.

In the sixth episode of Marketing Manifest Stations with Manasi, Rasika Prashant, CMO and co-founder, Tata Soulfull, reflects on her journey from Ogilvy to building the millet-based food brand.

The 'Rapid Fire' section features Soumali Chakraborty, head - marketing, Arrow.
