For brands, MNY Look Studio shows how AR can create immersive, culturally relevant campaigns that engage consumers on social platforms while driving commercial impact.

This festive season, Maybelline New York has partnered with Snapchat to unveil MNY Look Studio, an AR-powered beauty experience designed specifically for the Indian market.

The platform positions itself as a hub for creativity and self-expression, enabling users to explore, experiment, and share personalised makeup looks inspired by India’s biggest cultural celebrations.

Built by Snapchat’s in-house innovation studio, MNY Look Studio brings professional makeup expertise directly to users’ fingertips. The experience allows seamless creation, saving, and sharing of looks, while guiding users toward the right Maybelline products to bring their festive-ready styles to life.

Launching ahead of Navratri and Diwali, MNY Look Studio celebrates the vibrancy of India’s festive season. It encourages bold, creative experimentation while promoting inclusivity and personalisation, reflecting a modern, digitally savvy approach to beauty engagement.

Key features include four AR makeup styles inspired by Diwali, Temple Look, Navratri, and Pujo, blending global artistry with Indian cultural motifs; a personalised colour analysis tool to recommend shades based on skin undertones; a simplified, inclusive interface for frictionless user experiences; and fresh content rolling out in October to maintain engagement and relevance.

For brands and marketers, MNY Look Studio demonstrates the potential of AR to drive interactive, culturally resonant campaigns that meet consumers where they are on social platforms with innovation that’s both immersive and commercially impactful.

By merging beauty and technology, Maybelline and Snapchat are redefining festive celebrations, making them more colourful, personal, and shareable than ever before.

Jessica Rode, general manager – Maybelline New York, India, said, “With the launch of Maybelline Look Studio, we’re excited to bring a unique, interactive way for Indian consumers to explore makeup. Snapchat is recognised as a prominent player in the global AR space, with a strong engagement among Gen Z audiences in India. Partnering with them allows us to meet our consumers where they are, with innovation that’s fun, immersive, and culturally relevant.”

Resh Sidhu, global director, Snap AR developer marketing and branded innovation, Snap Inc, added, “At Snap, we’re focused on how AR and AI can deliver real utility in people’s lives. Partnering with Maybelline New York for Look Studio shows how technology and creativity can work together to make beauty more useful, accessible, and personalised while still being fun.”
