Medulla Communications has announced the launch of its operations in Singapore. 

The healthcare-specialist agency was founded by Praful Akali over 15 years ago. In 2016, it won the Healthcare Agency of the Year at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Taffy Ledesma will helm the Singapore operations as managing partner. Ledesma joined Medulla in May and has been working with Akali for the launch of the agency. His last full-time stint was with Hello Sehat, where he was country manager in Indonesia.

Ledesma said, “My experience across both client and agency ecosystems gives me a unique lens to truly partner with brands—ensuring their healthcare innovations reach the people they’re meant for. Commercial effectiveness is my core focus, because that’s what makes healthcare communication truly meaningful.”

Ledesma has also had stints with DDB and J&J.
