Skipper Pipes has rolled out a campaign that turns a familiar household problem into a humorous take on seepage and its unwelcome presence in homes.
Conceptualised by Dentsu Creative Isobar, the campaign uses humour to underline the importance of choosing the right pipes.
The film opens with a father testing his son’s knowledge of world maps. But the geography lesson takes an unexpected turn when the boy points to a damp patch on the wall and identifies it as Australia, adding that it was Sri Lanka until the previous week. The father is left embarrassed as he realises his son is referring to the growing seepage marks on the walls. The situation gets another comic twist when his young daughter enters with a toy gun, takes aim at the damp patch and declares it Pakistan. The underlying message is that keeping seepage at bay begins with choosing the right pipes.
What we think about it: The film turns an otherwise mundane household problem into an engaging comic narrative, using a humorous exchange to bring attention to the everyday frustration of seepage and the damage it can cause to home interiors. The unexpected yet relatable take makes the brand's proposition clear and memorable without resorting to a conventional product demonstration.
