Samsung has rolled out a film introducing the Galaxy Watch9.
A friend steps into a lift looking unusually energetic, immediately catching everyone’s attention. Curious, the others ask what’s behind the sudden burst of energy. With a smile, he raises his wrist to reveal the Samsung Galaxy Watch9. He tells his friends how the smartwatch has helped him better manage his health and encourages them to try it as well. Throughout the film, the Galaxy Watch9’s health features are showcased, including sleep apnea risk detection, heart health and blood pressure monitoring, and a personalised running coach. By the end of the film, each of the friends has taken steps to better manage their own health risks with the watch.
What we think about it: Using a simple, relatable premise to communicate the product's health-focused proposition, the film effectively balances product education with storytelling. The ad succeeds in presenting the smartwatch as more than just a wearable device, framing it as an enabler of healthier lifestyle choices. However, the ad feels slightly longer than necessary.
The film released on 22 July.
