Omnicom has announced its executive leadership and strategy following the acquisition of the Interpublic Group.
According to reports, the merger will be leading to 4,000 jobs being cut, most of which should be revealed before the end of the year.
Troy Ruhanen, CEO, Omnicom Advertising, will lead the creative business. The merger has led to agency brands like DDB, FCB and MullenLowe shutting down. Ruhanen will lead the creative business which includes BBDO, McCann, TBWA, and the U.S. Advertising Collective.
While the FCB brand is shutting down globally, in India, its agency Kinnect will continue to operate under the same brand. 22feet Tribal, which used to operate under the DDB brand, will be merging with Kinnect.
The media team will be led by Florian Adamski, CEO, Omnicom Media. The agencies under the media business globally include Hearts & Science, Initiative, Mediahub, OMD, PHD, UM, and Acxiom.
The PR division will be led by Chris Foster, CEO, Omnicom Public Relations. The network's offerings under PR include FleishmanHillard, Golin, Ketchum, Porter Novelli, and Weber Shandwick.
Sergio Lopez has been named CEO, Omnicom Production, spanning content solutions, production management, and studios.
Vineet Bajpai, chief executive officer, India, Omnicom Production, is added to the global leadership team of its production capability.
Duncan Painter will serve as CEO, Omni and Flywheel Commerce Network, featuring Omni, the advanced intelligence platform that will power all capabilities, and Flywheel, the market-leading commerce group
Omnicom’s global growth team will be led by George Manas, chief growth and solutions officer. Manas will transition from his current role leading OMD Worldwide effective 1 February 2026.
John Wren continues as chairperson and CEO. Phil Angelastro serves as EVP and CFO, and Philippe Krakowsky and Daryl Simm serve as co-presidents and COOs.
