Zomato has rolled out a campaign, 'Fuel Your Hustle', featuring cricketer Smriti Mandhana to spotlight its healthy mode on its app.
The campaign consists of an ad film.
The film opens with black-and-white glimpses of Mandhana’s journey and achievements, before shifting to a quiet moment of her sitting alone, reflecting on setbacks and the mental battle of getting out of one’s head. It captures how finding focus through the noise is often the hardest part, showing her using Zomato’s Healthy Mode to make a simple, disciplined choice. Mandhana speaks about choosing the hard path, reminding us that difficulty isn’t a reason to stop, as she fuels herself with a healthy meal and heads back to practice. The story draws a parallel between her rise, from World Cups to personal struggles, and the everyday choices we all face. It reframes healthy eating not as deprivation or a fleeting resolution, but as the mindset of elite performers who let small, consistent decisions compound over time.
What we think about it: Smartly borrows from Mandhana’s credibility to position healthy eating as a performance move rather than a punishment, and that shift in narrative feels fresh for a food delivery brand. Where it wobbles is in leaning on familiar sports-motivation tropes, making the product integration predictable instead of deeply woven into her real, everyday routine.
Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney, marketing head, Zomato, said, "Smriti's journey reminds us that excellence isn't built on easy choices; it's built on the hard ones, made consistently. This campaign isn't about guilt or New Year resolutions that fade by February. It's about reframing healthy eating as an act of strength and ambition. With Healthy Mode, we're giving customers the tools to make those hard choices easier, so that discipline becomes habit, and habit becomes transformation."
