Apple's 'Designed for Life At Home' campaign.

Apple has rolled out a campaign, 'Designed for Life At Home', for the launch of its HomeView.

Paired with Siri AI and Apple Intelligence, the device aims to bring entertainment, connection, and smart home management together in one place.

The campaign comprises an ad film.

The film captures the chaos of a family’s busy morning through a series of casual, overlapping conversations. From bickering over bathroom time and a promised French toast breakfast to using Siri to look up a recipe, checking calendar reminders, catching up with a family member on FaceTime and scrambling to find missing keys, it brings everyday domestic moments to life. The film also shows how each family member can access the system through their personal Apple devices using Face ID, keeping them connected to the household’s routines and plans. As the family rushes to get out of the house, exchanges about being late and coordinating the day reflect the familiar juggle of family life and how technology can help manage it. The film ends with the husband checking the calendar for an evening couples ice-skating lesson, highlighting how Apple’s connected ecosystem helps families stay organised amid the chaos of daily life.

What we think about it:  The film works because it uses relatable family moments to show how HomeView can fit into everyday routines, from managing schedules to staying connected through FaceTime and Siri. However, while features such as Face ID and integration with personal Apple devices set it apart from Google and Alexa, the film could do more to highlight these differentiators and make a stronger case for why families would want HomeView in their homes.

Greg Joswiak, senior vice president, worldwide marketing, Apple, said, “Apple HomeView is designed to be shared by everyone in the home yet feel completely personal to each user. It recognises your face to shift from a household screen to your own experience, fills the room with incredible sound, keeps you connected to the people who matter most with FaceTime, and makes it easy to control your smart home. And it’s powered by Apple Intelligence with Siri AI at its core, drawing on personal context from your iPhone to help you find what you need and get more done, all while keeping everyone’s information private and secure.”
