Ormax launches ‘WhatNext' to guide MSMEs and founder-led brands into future growth

Ormax Consultants, a consumer understanding and consulting firm, has announced the launch of Ormax WhatNext, a dedicated brand advisory and mentorship division aimed at MSMEs and promoter-led businesses.

Ormax WhatNext is designed to support companies at critical inflexion points, whether entering new markets, repositioning stagnant brands, or carving out a distinct space in crowded categories. 

The division brings deep expertise in consumer behaviour, storytelling, and category innovation to help these businesses unlock growth and build future-ready brands.

Led by Vispy Doctor, chairman and managing director, Ormax Consultants, the division will operate with a collaborative and solutions-focused model, offering tailored strategies that align with the ambitions of founder-driven enterprises. The goal is to empower these businesses with clarity and direction to lead in their respective industries.

The newfound team has already partnered with brands from across sectors, ranging from established companies looking to modernise to startups daring to introduce innovative, category-defining concepts.

Doctor said, “Ormax WhatNext came from a much-needed gap we identified in the Indian business ecosystem. While giant firms across sectors have levers to sustain growth, the founders and owners of MSMEs sometimes struggle to innovate or arrest decline despite having zeal. Our goal is to work closely with such promoters and appreciate the personal and instinctive nature of their businesses. We aim to bring in structure, strategy, and storytelling to complement that intuition, ensuring that their vision keeps pace with changing times."
