Agoda's ‘Escape the Stress, See The World For Less’ campaign.

Agoda has rolled out a campaign ‘Escape the Stress, See The World For Less’, featuring actor Ayushmann Khurrana to spotlight the increasing need for frequent breaks in today's fast-paced world and positions Agoda as the go-to travel solution for affordable getaways.

Conceptualised by Ogilvy, the campaign comprises two ad films.

The films feature Khurrana in dual roles as a visibly overworked employee caught in the chaos of daily life, and then as the effortlessly charming “chief wellness officer” Mr Vacaywala. Stepping in with a dose of humour and relief, Mr Vacaywala offers a simple prescription: stress-free, affordable getaways through Agoda. The narrative smartly highlights how Agoda’s competitive pricing empowers people to take frequent, rejuvenating breaks without breaking the bank.

What we think about it: Ayushmann Khurrana’s dual role adds charm and memorability to Agoda’s pitch for affordable escapes. With a clever stress-to-solution transition, it delivers a breezy reminder that burnout needs a booking.

Gaurav Malik, country director India, Agoda, said, "Ayushmann brings a unique charm to this campaign, embodying the essence of what Agoda stands for – making travel fun as well as stress-free and affordable. And the message of his ‘Mr. Vacaywala’ persona rings true. When we surveyed 2025 travel motivations, 80% of Indian respondents gave relaxation as the prime reason to travel, so we’re excited to see how the ‘take a break from stress’ message will appeal to Indian travellers."
