Crocs has rolled out a ‘Share the Joy’ campaign for the festive season that carries forward the festive spirit with its global ambassador, actor Rashmika Mandanna.
Set to the tune of the 1980’s Bollywood foot-tapping number ‘Yaar Bina Chain,’ the film infuses retro charm with fresh Gen Z energy by having creators John, Yashraj, Akshara Shivakumar, Kunal Bhosle, Noharika Gangaramany, and Laxmi Shetty join Mandanna.
Conceptualised and produced by Kulfi Collective, the campaign turns everyday chaos into unfiltered celebration, a nod to how India’s Gen Z experiences festivals today.
Capturing a slice of festive reality, the film opens with Mandanna caught in the whirlwind of last-minute Diwali party prep. She calls upon her squad for help, and they arrive with decorations, food, and outfits, transforming the chaos into laughter, warmth, and celebration. From stringing fairy lights to last-minute outfit checks, the film captures the playful energy and authenticity that make festive memories unforgettable.
The campaign extends the brand associated with comfort wear to festive charm, by styling clogs with new blingy, jibbitz charms, and pushing it as the ultimate festive accessory to be paired with contemporary festive Indian looks.
What we think about it: The campaign makes a smart attempt to push the everyday brand beyond its casualwear comfort zone, particularly for younger audiences who view festive dressing as playful self-expression. The retro tune and ensemble casting lends relatability and freshness, however, the creative stretch into festive occasion wear feels slightly forced - teetering on the edge of over-integration.
