Ahead of Diwali, Swiggy Instamart has rolled out a campaign featuring actor Sonakshi Sinha that spotlights its instant delivery of gold this festive season.

Taking the humour route, the film literalises the idiom 'born with a silver spoon' - only here, it’s gold - by showcasing the bizarre journey of a girl who is literally born with a golden spoon in her mouth.

Headlined by Sinha, who goes by the Instagram handle 'aslisona', the story begins even before her birth, as doctors are flummoxed to spot the shadow of a spoon in her prenatal sonography. The girl grows up with the attachment, eventually becoming a movie star known for her unique look.

The film also winks at Bollywood’s nepotism problem as Sinha - the 'girl with a golden spoon' - is asked her view on the subject during a mock press conference. 

The video wraps up with the message that while the 'gold-spooned' protagonist may be sorted for gold this Dhanteras, the rest of us scrambling at the last minute festive rush can count on Instamart’s instant gold delivery to save the day.
