Hindustan Unilever’s coffee brand, Bru, has rolled out a campaign for the relaunch of Bru Gold, featuring actors Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur.
The film captures the charm of young, playful love between the protagonists as they get lost in the flavour of the coffee.
The ad opens with Khan teasingly setting the tone for their playful banter. What follows is a back-and-forth of witty exchanges between the duo, accompanied by lingering looks and coined words like ‘Shan-tastic’ and ‘Kamal-icious,’ that attempt to capture the everyday romance over sharing a perfect cup of coffee.
What we think about it: The actor duo bring a breezy tone and easy charm, making the banter feel natural rather than forced. However, the campaign stops short of breaking new ground despite a premise with promise, with the playful dialogues lacking the substance and memorability needed to truly stick.
