Flipkart's campaign

Flipkart has rolled out a campaign ahead of its official sponsorship of the Namibia cricket team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Conceptualised by Leo and produced by Potli Baba Films, the campaign comprises a film. The ad opens with the Namibian cricket team in a meeting with representatives from Flipkart. The proposal catches them off guard since Flipkart is an Indian company with no presence in Namibia. Confused, they ask why Flipkart wants to sponsor them. To which, the Flipkart team explains that there is no better deal than this because India and Namibia are placed in the same group, attract the same viewership, and even the logo size on the jerseys is exactly the same.

What we think about it: The ad stands out for its clever, insight-led storytelling. By opening with an unexpected sponsorship conversation between Flipkart and the Namibian cricket team, it immediately hooks the viewer with curiosity. The campaign is witty without trying too hard, making it an effective piece of advertising.

The film released on 10 February.
